"Dreaming of Spirit Animals:
The Glass Art of Cappy Thompson"
a film by Sally Cloninger

Dreaming of Spirit Animals is a documentary about the glass art of Cappy Thompson, an internationally renowned glass painter working in the Pacific Northwest. In 2000 Thompson received a commission to create the largest hand-painted narrative stained glass window in the United States—a 90 ft. long by 33 ft. high window wall.

The film chronicles the making this work from dream inspiration, to fabrication in Germany at Derix Glasstudios, to installation at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport and unveiling in 2004.
